Nextorch TA10 Flashlight: Takes A Ton of Different Batteries – AA, AAA, CR123, 14500

The Nextorch TA10 got my attention after I saw The Late Boy Scout review this light. I’ve known of Nextorch for a while, but this is the first flashlight I’ve actually used from them. Overall it was a solid performer. The biggest win is that it can use a variety of different batteries. The biggest challenge to this light? The fact that is sticks about 4/5 of an inch out of your pocket. If that doesn’t bug you, then I think this might be a great light for you – check it out!

  3. Further review points…
Black color=losing it at dusk or night time if dropped, you will know what is meant by “camouflage”. Put glo orange or glo yellow tape on it since company does not. Better yet…attach tritium key fob.
USB=Able to charge some batteries by solar charger.
COLOR LENSES=Red for night vision; green for map reading; blue for liquids; yellow for signaling…human eyes see color yellow faster than red or white.
Lens Cover=protection against scraping, dropping, banging of flashlight lens.
Lens End Frosted Attachable plastic buble=diffused light for lighting inside of tent for quick surround lighting.
NOTE:(not yelling)FIND SOME WAY TO MAKE FLASHLIGHT FLOATABLE!

  4. I hope this idea becomes more common in the market. Shame it doesn’t go all the way to 1×18650 given that it has the external bulk of flashlights in that category. And with usb charge/discharge it would be the ultimate in versatility. I wonder if there are any technical hurdles that would prevent that.
