Hi, my name is Lilly and I like spending time in nature to practice my survival and bushcraft skills. This is a holistic survival channel which means that besides wilderness survival I also do modern survival videos. Sometimes I use modern tools which people might have at hand in a real survival situation. Also all of my videos are pre-recorded, which mean that they do not get released immediately after I film then. That is why seasons in the video can differ from actual seasons. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

    1. Survival Lilly the first may smell of plastic due To the seal in the cap, so you may just be smelling the rim.

Something I learned in the Marines, in freezing conditions, put the canteen into the carrier upside down. This was especially critical for us since we had the green poly canteens. Remember your middle school science, water freezes from the top down, thus, when upside down, you always have water to drink and there is less chance of the canteen splitting from ice.

    3. Another award winning video! May I suggest a baby bottle brush for cleaning the canteens with the narrow openings? They are cheap and available most anywhere baby products are sold.

  2. hey lilly how do i go about sending you different survival stuff for you to try out and test? you can keep the stuff aswell im in the states and we have a ton of different survival stuff id like to see put to the test… <3 and respect

  3. Useful to see them all side by side. I bought stainless gsi gacier bottle and tatonka mug…just wish i could get a lid for the mug

  4. Lilly, Nalgene bottles hold boiling water without the least problem. They are non bacteria growing vessels. Since you boil water in your canteen, just place it in the Nalgene bottle. Now, true!! you can’t boil water directly in the bottle. But nothing beats Nalgene. They are tougher than steel, and won’t give you nickelosis which commonly occurs from continued consumption and use of stainless products.

  5. Lilly you are totally awesome, would you consider doing survival courses?
You could teach shelter building, fire starting and forestry.
Perhaps even an over nighter at some point.
What you are teaching is super important, in this day and age people are too reliant on convenience foods and need at least some basic skills.
I believe every child in school should be taught first aid and basic survival skills.
