At Blade Show 2017 I ran into Alan Kay from ALONE Season 1. Alan used a Condor Tool and Knife kukuri knife on the show and he has since upgraded it to make some improvements. In this video he talks about (and shows off) the original and the new K-TACT as well – check it out!

  1. Tim. Fun interview. Wish I could have been with you guys. Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing.

  2. After extolling the virtues of having a sheath that carries horizontally, why does the Condor version have a dangler? Can it be carried horizontally? The Condor sheath doesn’t appear to have the belt slits….

  3. I really do enjoy this design, since when I drew my own Kukri this is basically what I drew, smashing pommel and all.

  4. I’d really love to see him do a full video on kukri blades and how to use them in the wilderness… they are not an immediately intuitive knife design if you know what I mean. So it would be interesting to see him show us the finer points of using a kukri to get the most out of it.

  5. Awesome! Bravo on that Kukuri!! Yup I will look for that! Huge congratulations to Alan and to his family!
    Thanks guys and thanks Condor!
